Pine Knolls exists to share the hope and healing of Jesus.  We are seeking a senior pastor to lead the congregation deeper into the healing power of the Gospel and deeper into sharing the hope of Christ.  This position requires a bachelor's degree and 8-10 years experience in pastoral ministry in a similar-sized church.  Master's degree and seminary training is preferred.  This position requires humility, a healthy degree of self-awareness, and a definite calling.  Currently, we have a dedicated staff and a group of experienced elders, ready to assist the new pastor in tackling whatever challenges may arise.  View the Job Description and Church Profile.  Applicants may apply at

Prayer Matters

As we continue in this process, we as a Search Committee feel passionately that each of us needs to be leaning into God deeper and deeper.  Please continue to pray with us:

  • Ask God for His grace to help us as a congregation to respond to the pastoral transition in healthy ways.
  • Pray that this time of change will be one of learning to depend on God in deeper ways.
  • Pray for God to continue to grant unity, clarity, wisdom and patience to the Search Committee.
  • Ask God to prepare the heart of our next Senior Pastor; pray that God gives him a love for Pine Knolls and a clear calling.
  • Pray for the next senior pastor's family, for strength and peace as they consider leaving their present ministry.

Over the past year I have sensed that my time as the Senior Pastor of Pine Knolls is coming to an end.  I have always been aware of God's hand in opening this door for me; now I sense that I am nearing the completion of what He has asked me to do.
