MISSIONS AT PINE KNOLLS

We at Pine Knolls understand that the community of Christ goes beyond our building. Together, we can stretch our arms around all sorts of needy people in all sorts of places. As part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Pine Knolls is a member of a team that is taking the life-changing message of Jesus Christ across our nation and into nearly 60 countries.

The Pine Knolls/Dominican Republic Partnership was developed for the purpose of engaging individuals from Pine Knolls Alliance in doing the work of missions together with C&MA missionaries in that country. The partnership provides greater opportunities for ownership, increased involvement, and deeper relationships.

Work teams from Pine Knolls have traveled to the Dominican Republic over the past several years. During these one week trips people from Pine Knolls work side-by-side with C&MA missionaries and national church leaders from that country on construction projects and church ministries such as Vacation Bible School.

  • ZAC + JULIE STUTLER -DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Zac and Julie Stutler have served in the Dominican Republic since 1988.  They were instrumental in beginnings of the House of Blessing and the Encounter Church in Santo Domingo.  They also worked for four years in Theological Education ministries on a national level.  In 2009, the Stutler's moved to Punta Cana to begin an outreach to the professional families moving into the area.  In 2011 they led the team that started "Alianza", the first evangelical church in the community where they were living.  Zac and Julie are presently a part of the Pastoral Team of this young, developing church.  They are involved with many different ministries within the church and the community.  Recently they developed a Marriage Coaching program which combines pastoral counseling, teaching and mentoring aimed at helping couples have successful Christ-centered marriages. For more information on their ministry, visit their website.

  • CRAIG + SUE QUERFELD -PERU

Craig & Sue Querfeld have spent the last 20-plus years as church planters and plan to spend the next 20 mentoring younger church planters.  Craig has a regional leadership role within TEAM in South America, supervising and guiding missionaries in several countries.  Sue is involved in member care and uses her coaching skills to enhance the ministries of several people in South America and around the world.  They continue to serve in their local church, teaching and discipling Peruvian believers.

  • ALEXA RANDALL -INTERVARSITY, UNH CAMPUS

Alexa (Higley) Randall grew up attending Pine Knolls and attended college as many do right after high school.  While at the University of New Hampshire she felt God calling her to join a sorority to be a light in a place on campus that not many Christians go.  After spending four years as a student involved in a campus ministry that reaches out specifically to sorority and fraternity students on college campuses, Greek InterVarsity, Alexa decided to work for them to continue reaching out to this often unreached people group on the University campus.  Alexa has served this population for the last 5 years and is the head Greek IV staff at the University of New Hampshire.  She leads Bible studies, leadership development, and discipleship of students in fraternity basements and sorority living rooms every week.  For many college students the last thing they think they will find in their Greek house would Jesus, but with the way God has been working through Greek IV many students are.

  • Kent + Chris

Kent and Chris are medical missionaries in Southeast Asia.  They use their medical and nursing skills to heal bodies and to create opportunities for hurting people to consider their need for the Savior.  Seeing churches planted and disciples made are the goals of their ministry.  Kent and Chris serve the needy through two clinics - one with the government, and another which is church-based.  When not doing medicine, they host short term teams, seeking to bring together strong partnerships between national churches and churches from 'back home'.

  • Kyle & Erin Esposito - Young Life

Kyle and Erin both came to know Christ through Young Life and their local churches when they were in high school and have been involved in Young Life ever since.  During college they served as volunteer leaders and worked for Young Life at one of their premier resort properties for high school and middle school students, Young Life Saranac Village on Upper Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks.  After college Kyle worked at Saranac Village for four years before moving to Glens Falls to start Young Life ministry at SUNY Adirondack and step in as the Young Life Area Director for Southern Adirondack Young Life.  He now supports and manages many Young Life groups in the greater Glens Falls Area including SUNY Adirondack. Kyle and Erin live in Glens Falls with their two young children, Lucy and Peter.

  • Jeff & Melissa Singfiel

Jeff, Melissa, Madison and Reilly have served with the C&MA in Kosovo since 2002 in several ministries.  After language study in 2004, they helped launch a community center alongside a church plant in the city of Gjilan with the C&MA's national church partner and CAMA Services.  Over the next six years, they saw many people come to Christ and a whole community begin to understand Christianity in a new way.  More recently, Melissa led the women's ministry commission for the National Evangelical Alliance and served as the organization's treasurer.  Jeff has served as team leader, National Alliance board member, and in preaching, teaching, and discipleship roles in various churches in the six-church partner network.

PINE KNOLLS MISSIONS FUND

The Pine Knolls Missions Fund enables the people of Pine Knolls to join Christ as He builds His church around the world. Each year at one of our Missions Conferences we give opportunity for people of Pine Knolls to prayerfully make a one year pledge to this fund. Gifts to the Pine Knolls Missions Fund are directed primarily to support the Stutlers and the Dykes - our missionary partners in the Dominican Republic. Five percent of each pledge is directed toward the support of other missionaries seen on this page. Thank you for your faithful stewardship and prayerful investment of God-given resources. As a result of your financial commitment, thousands once living in spiritual darkness are coming to know Jesus as Savior.
